Post-volleyball festivities
Superman Nico!
Aaron and Nico reading together after a long day of playing with light sabers, mummies, and play sets, oh my!
We went over to our friend Neil's yesterday for Volleyball, food, and games. We played a fun kids game called PitchCar, and then moved on to adult games. Here we are playing Liars' Dice. Stuart, Kelley, George, and Neil (Aaron is there too, just out of the picture.)

Summer Festival
There was a carnival in Mount Pleasant this weekend - Summer Festival 2008. We went with our friends Brad and Jess, and I got to see fireworks two nights in a row! There were lots of rides, an agricultural tent (no Jerseys), a tai chi demonstration, civil war reenactments, a beer and live music tent, and of course fair food. I also went with our little friends Duncan and Nico (aged 5 and 3), which was fun because I got to see them have lots of fun and even went on a couple of rides with them.

More from Becca's Wedding
An upright picture of us at the wedding (we seem to have a dearth of length-wise pictures of us at fancy events, thus, we never get to see my dress). This was also the day that my dad agreed to marry us!! :-)
Here is Aaron enjoying himself at Becca's wedding. It was wonderful to have the chance to hang out with everyone (we missed you Gabe, Andrea, and Emory)!

Our Boys
Our family also includes our two male cats - Smokey and Otis. They are a little over two years old. They like to sleep together, hang in strange positions that I am not sure how in the world they are comfortable, and sit up in windows. One of them in particular (Otis) also is a bit destructive - Aaron will be getting a new printer soon, as the ribbon has been repeatedly attacked to the point of no return. They also love being around people, and usually sit in whatever room we are in and like to sleep with us (Smokey mostly), which is nice. They also like to play games with us!

A brand new blog
Aaron and I recently got engaged (ok, well, almost 2.5 months ago now). I am checking out the blogging world as a way to provide info to family and friends about what we are up to. I have really enjoyed following my family and friends in other parts of the country and world through their postings, so I thought maybe I could return the favor. I was thinking that maybe we could incorporate a wedding website into the blog so that it would not have to be full of that cheesy stuff on other wedding websites....but we will see how that goes. Stay tuned for more!
